We are spending a few days in the Denver area, taking care of issues with our RV and (more importantly) spending time with family. Saturday we met Eric, Liz, Kylie and John at Kylie's swim meet. She is an excellent swimmer and Saturday she qualified for two events at the state swim meet in July. Here she is, "on her mark."
In the water, she is just a blur. Here she is swimming the 50 freestyle.
After grabbing a quick taco lunch, our next stop was John's last soccer game of the season. We haven't seen him play for a couple of years and he has really improved. He now seems to understand what to do.
Sunday we celebrated Mother's Day at their home. It has been years and years since I have been able to celebrate Mother's Day with one of my children. What a treat! Eric cooked some steaks. Papa wrestled with John.
Kylie (age 12) proved she is going to be as tall as her mother or taller by the time she grows up.
And she proved she is already taller than her Aunt Ann.
Yesterday all four of them came to our RV after school for a cookout.
Eric and Liz will soon be the proud owners of a pontoon boat, so we visited the marina here at Chatfield State Park before they went home.
We so enjoyed our three visits with them. We hadn't been together since early October when we left for Arizona. Now we will have to wait till September for our next grandparent fix.
In addition, we met John's sister Cindy and husband John (yes, there are a lot of Johns in our family) for lunch. We haven't been able to sit down and spend time with them for a really long time and it was fun.
Oh, those wonderful moments with family.
