Year-end Summary

The year 2013 is over. The day-to-day (or semi-week to semi-week) events of our lives have been covered here in this blog. But what is the overall picture?

We drove 13,463 miles during the year, in three different trucks. Of that total, 4653 were pulling our trailer and 8810 were driven while we we parked in various locations.

We spent 160 days at Valle del Oro in Mesa, 131 days in Mueller State Park as volunteers. In between those stays, we were in 24 campgrounds as we traveled from Mesa to Mueller and Mueller to Mesa by way of Howe, IN, and Chanute, KS. We had some great times exploring during those travels.

We spent a total of $5936 on campground fees, not including electric, sewer and trash, for an average of $16.26 a day. That figure would have been higher if we hadn't parked for free while volunteering at Mueller.

It was a good year and we are looking forward to our adventures in 2014.

  1. Oh, yeah, I forgot to do a year-end. Good summary here. I don't have all those statistics.
