Friends Visit

Who doesn't want to spend part of this cold winter in the warm sunshine of Arizona? Some may prefer skiing and shoveling snow, but many of our friends from Colorado came south, at least for a few days. Saturday, Betty and Larry came by and we had a great lunch at Applebee's.

We got caught up on each others' lives, talking for hours at our RV and the restaurant. While we were sitting outside, enjoying the weather, we heard a whole bunch of airplanes. We looked up to see this large group of small planes fly over in formation.

They may have been participating in the Gateway Airport Aviation Day event. I'm really not sure.

We love to drive the main highways in the Phoenix area because of their landscaping. The plantings are well done and everything is usually kept clean and well manicured. Right now, a lot of bougainvillea is blooming. We can't stop on the 65-mph highways to take pictures, but I did find some in another location to photograph.

  1. We're starting to see things blooming these days. Hope our friends one day escape the cold winters of VT to visit us somewhere warm.
