A place of rest--and freedom

Partner, our sweet 17-year-old cat that died three weeks ago, is finally free in the outdoors he loved so much. For most of his life he loved exploring the area around the RV, no matter where we were parked. He was always at the end of a leash, tethered to one of the humans in his life. Probably his favorite place was the field near our site at Bryce Canyon National Park when we volunteered in 2005. Today he has a field here at Lathrop, with no leash and no human to keep him from going too far.

We scattered his cremains in the field behind the RV today. We cried our tears. But now he's free and not suffering.

John and Carol, so sorry for your loss. We have 2 companions we travel with and we feel like they are our children. So we know how you must feel. Our prayers are with you.
