Saddles, horses and pheasants

Sheridan, Wyoming,is a neat small town and we always enjoy visiting there. One of the most interesting places is King's Saddlery.

In addition to making ropes and saddles, they sell just about anything you need for your horse.  There are booties for the horse's hooves

spurs

something that goes across the horse's chest

ropes

? I know these go under the horse's belly but I don't know what they are called.

and lariats .

We even saw a herd of stick horses.

And of course there were saddles.

We had been to King's before. You can see a more detailed post about King's Saddlery here.

Before our visit to King's, we took a walk along Goose Creek in Sheridan.

Then we went into Kendrick Park. We heard two birds talking to each other. They made a sound we had not heard before. It was a pair of pheasants! This isn't a very good photo, but you can see what it is.

We always enjoy Sheridan and I am sure we will visit there again.

  2. Thanks Carolyn. I thought that is what they were called, but I decided to be dumb instead of wrong.
